I have no clue on knife laws.
Best I can say on that for New York is .... they suck...
And multiple years in a row the NY Senate even passed 2 different Bill's to make them better (making things like gravity knives legal and better definition on "illegal" knives), both Bill's were vetoed by FUAC

It's by design. The knife laws in this state are shit, totally vague, and in many cases difficult to actually abide by. I'm not sure I can chalk it up to deliberate malice by legislators or just rank incompetence, but the laws are such that it's often up to a cop to decide if you will be arrested for a knife offense and then the state can prosecute based on things that are difficult to defend; e.g. your intent.
The law is overly complicated and serves little public safety.

It would be great if they do something about the law. I carry a small pocket knife (less that 4”) now for work but I have been looking for something more significant.

We need some serious wins for 2a rights (knives are a 2a issue as well) from the scotus as the socialist states like ny, ca, ct, md, nj, etc... are sinking fast. Our only hope here, behind enemy lines, is scotus rulings.
There is no blade length limit in NYS. Only NYC.

Their is a simple solution to NYC knife law ... carry a 4" fix blade when down town, and of course keep it concealed.
