This right here. It was a pretty meh case to start with minimum "consequences" for the state that's why they had no problem changing the law so quick, and they would rather moot the whole case vs taking a L
The case really didnt have much teeth to it. Now if it was a case against the Sullivan Act. that would be different
Oh yea? You were asked what that was and yet all you do is keep saying that koolaid catchphrase
Things you can do.
1. When fund raisers bring up the future of SCOTUS, tell them to go fuck themselves.
2. When you are asked to go and vote because the future of SCOTUS is at stake. Tell them to go and fuck themselves.
3. Stop counting noses on the Supreme Court and posting deep analysis of a simple scam.
Just to start with
Oh ok so your solution is sit back and do nothing. Got it, yup you are exactly what I figured you were as a person
So it's either somehow working within a rigged/gamed system or shooting people in the face?
Well I have nothing going on today I think I will give mosins option a chance to see if I can help save the 2A.
Alright list of what I need.
Couch - check
Snakes - check.
Netflix - check
Tell cloud in sky to fuck off - check
Holy shit guys. We can now own machine guns now with no paperwork
No, no, no we should continue making excuses and spreading false hope to support status quo and call it beneficial activity.
Dude no need I'm doing your option and look we won and I am on my couch all comfortable.
You did it you saved the 2A
We are both typing while sitting down. You are leading people deeper into the woods, I am leading them out of the woods.
It tells you where they stand for the next one. So for a stronger better case we’re at 4-4 and that way places that sue won’t just be flushing money down the toilet like they did here.Dissenting opinions are pointless.
I agree it’s purely political but opening this up right now scares the hell out of me.The supreme court is an antiquated concentration of power. If we called a convention today, the first agenda we should be proposing is abolishing it.
It's a branch of government just as politicized as the rest, except much smaller and with lifetime appointments. The "death lottery" has to stop.
I read it.No one is probably going to read this but isn’t it much simpler if NYS just followed one rule instead of making different counties and NYC make rules? NYS should get rid of the safe act and if it make the liberals feel good sure make the limit 30 round mags. Make it where only NYC have the safe act but can freely travel with firearm and everyone in the state can carry everywhere but when entering NYC only have 10 rounds. Anybody else agree?
FUAC doesn’t care about NY I know that but that is the best way to make everyone happy other than getting rid of the safe act completely and let everyone carry regardless of residence. Why should the big Apple make the rules for the entire state? There’s people who don’t even like the city and live peaceful lives but want a machine gun, AR pistols, SBR, SBS, DD. If NY want gun friendly the business would be great and open up a lot of opportunities. I signed up to defend the constitution not abide by these ridiculous laws that obviously doesn’t help anyone other than politicians.I read it.
But what you'd get is simply NYC's rules apply to all of NY.
Please remember that if you live outside of NYC you don't matter to this state's government.
Exactly. I've been saying for YEARS that the only way the 2A is restored in NY is the have a Federal version of SAFE get passed. Until we bring the rest of the free States into our fight... the status quo will remain. The second amendment does not apply to New York. We all knew this going in. Appealing to the SCOTUS on issues of the 2nd amendment in NY is like appealing to a cashier at Wendy's that your boss is mistreating you.

You're doing a piss poor job of leading - even from behind a keyboard.
The system either works for every right of every man or it doesn't. It's a binary choice. Every single poster is this thread agrees that the decision is unjust and offensive to the spirit of the Second Amendment.
So once one realizes that the system is broken you come to two options - live with it or reform it. You need to lead people toward a reformation movement.
What does this reformation movement look like? What is the mechanism by which it means to effect change? No one will follow you anywhere until you answer these questions and can do so eloquently.
For myself, I cannot see a legal path for reformation within our system that I consider viable. I am also not willing to kill my countrymen in order to reform our system. This is the impasse that you are failing to address.
