A Law is passed.
Someone breaks it and is convicted.
SCOTUS reviews the Law.
They find it Unconstitutional. I maintain in that case the Conviction should be vacated.
BUT, another time:
They find a different Law valid.
Shouldn't the Law Breaker still be prosecuted ?
Cuomo broke the Law by banning Worship.

I pastor a Baptist Church, I have not closed one single day of the scam reaction to this virus.
That said, the ruling in the case recently in NY was just a stay for the petitioners that sued the state. The S.C. sent it back down to the lower court for the case to be heard on the merits. It is not a statewide ruling, just a temporary stay for the two organizations that sued the state.
Now for sure it spoke loudly and showed how the Supreme Court would rule. Churches can still get fines for violating the EO. At least in Erie County if they get fined they now have 20 to 100 years to pay the fine thanks to Erie County Comptroller Stefan Mychajliw.

This is really a big issue. Do we, or do we now, have federal law and the constitution to unify us? If not, then we're merely individual countries strung together no different than the European union, and should be viewed as such.
For politicians to behave as if the law does not apply to their state is essentially secession from the union. It should be treated as such. Other states have ignored the trampling of rights within the union, and now it is on their doorsteps in VA and TX.
Simply amazing the stretch of power seizure these GOVENORS have exhibited while utilizing the excuse of "Public Safety"...
Just think, the very "SAME" thing (reason) was used by the Crowns troops here during unrest by revolutionaries!...
And again, once again, I know that is the process, to send it back to the state and court the made the ruling, but I differ, in that it exhibits that SCOTUS really has no TEETH! So the State can and will then do what they want, drag it out, change it a little, massage it, manipulate the system and at each step, the little guy needs to fight back. A tried an true method to get those affected by the malfeasance, to submit by giving up! And then there's no complaint, no damaged party. See NY Shitty with the recent ruling letting them off the hook because they mended their ways prior to the court going full boar on their ass, and they knew it was coming! So they say here, we are sorry, and won't do it (exactly) that way any more. Case closed and dismissed, without prejudice! No rebuke for decades of infringement upon its residents and citizens Rights!
