Most of the time, “went to retrieve a handgun” is not going to go in your favor. Absent extreme circumstances, this is fail 101. Worst of all, such facts might even be used to show premeditation which will increase the charge.

Well it's also just a small sliver of the circumstance going on. Someone having a gun isn't grounds for shooting them unless you're threatened with it at that given moment, or you DEFINITELY see them take one out after a period of threatening behavior towards you. Unless you see the gun (unlike other more recent news situations), or they're right on top of you making a lunge or something, you shouldn't assume any immediate threats.

You have to really show that you felt threatened (IE, the person is following you, you can't get away, you verbally warn them multiple times while attempting to flee), and have gave them a chance to back down -- preferably even after drawing to a resting position as well. Otherwise the court isn't going to buy it. You have to setup the case that you did what you could to prevent having to discharge a firearm to really "prove" it was necessary to do so.

At least, that's how I see it / my understanding of it.

Kind of the same reasoning why I took my pick up with the 6 rather than the 8. It gets me where I’m going the same, for a little cheaper. I actually get it even better because I use e85 and it’s almost a dollar cheaper a gallon.

Do a little research on this. E85 is on average 25% less efficient than E87. It may be cheaper at the pump, but your fuel economy will be reduced by 25%.

No such thing as E87, 87 at the pump is 10% ethanol, E85 is 85% ethanol.

I did the math, my mileage goes down. More power. More torque.
On $50 you can go further on e85 than regular. You won’t be able to fit $50 in one tank of e85 so you do have to go to the gas station more frequently.

Exactly. Liberals aren't very tolerant of other people's views. And downstate, they turn a blind eye to intolerance coming from the left.

When I was in high school, nearly two decades ago, I had an illegal alien kid who had pulled a switch blade on me at school. The district's solution to it was to try to move me to another school -- or at least, try to do that. That's the sort of liberal bullshit mentality that exists down here. Leave the illegal alone, give the good student a hard time.

Luckily my mother was / is tough as nails, and she told them either they either kick the kid out of the school, considering he shouldn't be there in the first place, or she's suing and sending me to school with a baseball bat each day. They kicked him out, finally.

Agreed. If you feel things are escalating out of control, it's always best to call the police so they're on their way as a first step. That way you have testimony of LEO on your side if shit goes to court.

I have read that you will get more power and torque. So for some, that may be worth the trade-off. I almost always let my wallet make the decision.

My wallet has made the decision. It’s most cost effective per mile on e85. If the margin was thinner than almost a dollar, say 50¢ or 25¢ then I’d run regular gas. It’s all about what it costs per gallon
