Scumbags stole my Trump 2020 sign

We live in a very rural area where everyone is a Trump supporter, so no real point of having signs. At least if anyone supports Biden they dont announce it.
We do have a Trump sign just because I like it. We have a 120 yard driveway and I cannot see the sign from the house.
Our only deterrent is that if a car slows at our driveway, our 2 Mastiffs and 2 Pitbulls run frantically and loudly down the driveway.
There is a shed about 10 yards from the road where the dogs know to stop at. The dogs are 100% harmless and very, very friendly to strangers. But, its alot of very loud dog running at you. They stay outside most of the day and night by choice.
I seriously doubt any living human would continue to pull our sign with 6oo pounds of dog coming down on them.

My choice would be something like a pressure sensitive superglue.
They steal the sign, they'll have a hard time letting go....
Even better if you make the sign out of something durable enough that it's not easy to cut loose.
Would be priceless for one of these hooligans to have to show up to the ER with a Trump 2020 sign stuck to their hands.

Funny story from our neighbor.
In 2016 a guy down the road put up a Trump sign which consisted of 5 seperate 6'x4' signs spaced about 3' apart.
He put it in his field behind a barbed wire fence where he kept 2 nasty little donkeys.
He lives closer to the village and some locals had their Trump signs stolen.
One morning he noticed a blue piece of cloth stuck to his fence.
It was the entire back section of a fleece jacket. Doing some looking around he saw footprints heading toward the signs, then running prints headed back to where the jacket was.
It didnt take a genius to figure out what happened. Those donkeys are seriously mean. They scream and run, ears back and teeth showing and snapping. They WILL bite you!
He put the jacket on a pole like a flag and put it out by the road.
The sign is there this year too with no signs of attempted theft so far.

As if stealing my sign would make me go hmmmm, I guess I won't vote for Trump. If anything, I'm more emboldened to vote for him, again. I'm more angry over the principal as others have mentioned, that I should be able to put whatever sign I want in my yard without worrying about it getting stolen. Plenty of Biden signs around here too, as I mentioned, you wouldn't see me walking up to their yard stealing that. I shouldn't have to hide being a Trump supporter, it's bullshit. People on the left are the ones who are the fascists. Authoritarians. They want to intimidate you into seeing that you are "wrong". I could go on and on as I'm sure most of us here could, preaching to the choir for the most part. Gonna get my pre-debate buzz on and enjoy the show, and plot out my antitheft ideas for the next sign.

Upvoting because I for one believe naked Bea Arthur to be exquisite fap material.
That sucks and is just plain disrespectful. Too bad you didn't get a plate number etc. Though I doubt the local PD would do anything about it anyways. Years back we reported a car break in and the stolen items and the police seemed irritated that we contacted them to report it. Obviously every dept. is different but that's my experience.

Oh I agree that the asshole isn’t excused for committing more than one crime. Most of the onus for that is on them. But still...leaving stuff in your car is a good analogy. Parking garages will have signs telling you to not leave any visible valuables. If you do something you know will tempt assholes into committing a crime, and do it anyway, it’s worth remembering that there’s a bit of personal responsibility there too.
I can come across as a bit lefty on some things, but individualism and personal responsibility isn’t among them. Of course the person who committed the crime - even a fairly minor one - is the one who deserves to be held accountable. But just like “see something, say something”, not picking fights, or eschewing expensive clothing, jewelry, or watches if you know you’re going into a sketchy neighborhood, you gotta know that part of preventing a crime stems from your own actions. That’s all.
I'd hook one up that will spray the offender with the same dye used in money packs.
