Apparently while they were dating in 2014 she made him give up his guns. Somehow they got turned into this pile of crap by an "artist" and was revealed to the public yesterday.

Seriously here's what I don't understand about Charlize Theron's anti-gun stance.

This makes no sense to me. The kind of abusive bastard who is going to do this to his family is going to hurt them one way or another. Yes, I get he had a gun and used it (so.. ooh, guns are scary) , but it was the fact that her mom had a gun and was able to use it that SAVED them; by giving her equal power to stop a raging man. Is this not the perfect example of why women (and everyone) SHOULD have guns ? Her story proves that guns are a force equalizer that allows people to defend themselves against a more powerful aggressor. You'd think she would be very much for gun ownership.. at least that makes more sense to me.
