Not enough information, IMO. Sounds like it could have been a case of "five feet away, but running," or where the agent misjudged the position of the shooter (say, thinking he was looking down the scope but was actually in some other position relative to the rifle).

sounds to me like he was shooting blindly at the general area of the barrel and hoping to hit something... quick reaction to thwart a possible shot on target from the assassin. Pretty sure he would have had more than 6 round in the mag!

We qualified partially at 7 feet..then moved out..15ft..then 25 ft. It seemed that at 7 feet..I could touch the target. Handgun. How far from the target person be from the muzzle with arms outstretched at 5 ft? Even moving..lead and wind correction? lol

Routh was a patsy, A perfect patsy at that. A left wing radical loony toon .
But Id like to know how he sat in the bushes for 12 hours with out any dirt on his hands knees or shirt. Id like to know why he choose to wear a pink T shirt the night he choose to go out hide in the golf course.

Id like to why know he didnt fire at the man who fired at him., Id like to know if he was tested for gunshot residue

The offcial story is he drove from N carolina to FLorida hid in the bushes , Left his weapon at the scene and fled when a secret service agent saw him . And A civilian photographed the car .

My theory, Routh was a perfect patsey having recruited mercenary for Ukraine He was on the radar of the CIA FBI, They knew this guy .

My theroy is that Routh was brought to the area by a lucrative business deal, He had no knowledge about Trumps whereabouts and was never at the golf course.

The ""Plan"" was hit trump near the hole where the weapon was found. it was planted there. the real shooter never got the shot off

Some Secret service agent found the plant before it was to be found, sounding an alert fucking up the entire set up , Trump would have been taken from the site . Trump never entering the kill zone . The operation was aborted , and Routh was blamed for the weapon. The agent shooting at the fleeing suspect is a bullshit cover story it plays into the incompetence defense
