Just like the title says. I'm just curious if anyone here has the semi automatic endorsement added to their permits, and what is the waiting time?

A little off topic but did you have to take the 16 hour class before you could apply for the semi auto amendment?
just got mine. sent it in early march, and it triggered a storage inspection. 5 months

I assume you're talking rifle or shotgun. Just buy out of state. NY, Westchester especially, is all about making the process so ridiculously hard that it triggers some people not to go through with it. Hundred percent political BS ideology being practiced. I know many that bailed on the process. Westerchester wants $175.00 for permits now and its taking over a year to get one. Standing in front of a judge that likely issued all their friends permits within 30 days. They want 4 affidavits from non related people as well. No police or other LEO's can sign. Making these strangers go to sign it in front of a notary. All this a citizen of Westchester NY has to go through to practice a Right under the Bill of Rights. Is it unlikely we see NY requiring a permit or annual fee to practice Free Speech on message boards or other social media? Think the argument can't be made under the same set of criteria? Or how about a fee or process for the Bill of Rights itself. It isn't ridiculous to imagine. We are just about there.

Are you saying that when you applied, the friendly local LEOs paid a visit to your residence to inspect that you have a gun safe and how you are storing your guns????????

And it took 5 months to legally buy a semi auto rifle?!??? 5 months for a long gun????!!!
My brain is melting right now even Erie county gives semi auto endorsements in like an hour and $5 if you have you have your pistol lisence.

Just wait until they decide semi automatic weapons are illegal and they come nocking on all our doors.
I’m mad because I bought a new pistol and I checked that I didn’t want the semi automatic endorsement and they gave it to me anyway. I don’t trust them.
Also I looked at your pistol permit renewal and now the state police ask if you have the rifle endorsement for renewing your pistol permit. I think I will say no and see what happens but not sure it worth the hassle. I wish they would have left it off but I did it by mail so I didn’t know they added it.
