Since yesterday, I have looked up and researched more and more on Reg Flag policies of the 15 or so States that have them. As of yesterday, I was leaning more toward not liking these policies. After a bunch of reading, it seems that most of the States have taken too many liberties with their wording. I am officially against these policies and laws.
I figured I would have been, but really wanted to know as much as possible.

This was already a problem for gun owners. Now they will make confiscation easier. We were better off with Obama in the White House and partisan Congress opposing any gun legislation. Worked very well. Why even bother to vote.

So in the realm of negotiating a "better world" let me propose the following. For each state that passes a red flag law regarding firearms, let's be fair and propose an equal number of "white flag" laws which allow the mental capacity of politicians to be assessed and reviewed. Should these politicians be found to be less than fit to perform the duties of their office, then they should be removed immediately from said office. This review process will be of the same substance as that of red flag laws. The "professional" assessor will be chosen without their input and influence.

These laws allow the removal of a constitutional right without a conviction or constrained by an aggressive, short time frame.
For that reason I don’t like them. I get the point but they lower the duty of the state to prove a crime and turn it into just some bureaucratic opinion.

Keep blindly supporting the R's because they claim to be "Pro 2A". Very few politicians are truly Pro 2A, they may be "Pro Gun", or support gun control "lite". The vast majority will support some infringements because it looks good on them for reelection.

Red Flag laws should apply to elected officials. If someone thinks you're nuts you should be removed from office before you can do any harm. Random, arbitrary and vague application without due process.
