“I am calling for a joint task force to be assembled and spend all the time and money necessary to identify every person who breached the security of the Capitol, who occupied the Chambers, who invaded offices, and destroyed property,” Graham said during a press conference.

“There is a ton of video evidence out there. I was interviewed this morning by two FBI agents. They came to my house wanting to know if I had any surveillance camera outside my house. I did not, but I am encouraged they’re on the case,” he added.

Graham wants the FBI to use social media as an Orwellian dragnet to charge thousands of patriotic Trump supporters who exercised their 1st Amendment rights at or near the Capitol.


“In the social media world that exists today, it won’t be that hard to find thousands of people who took the law in their own hands. The people sitting in the chairs need to be sitting in the jail cell. The people who attacked the Capitol police need to be charged with attacking a police officer,” he said.

Honestly, the events of today sound eerily like 1984.

  • "Fact Checking" / "Social Media Blackouts" - Ministry of Truth
  • Officials using school children to spy on their parents
  • People being indoctrinated into a singular way of thinking in school
  • Public shaming / shunning en-masse
  • Shutting down of dissent
  • False characterization of dissent
To be clear, we're also not there yet. I don't want to make a massive slippery slope argument, but are we really that far off from a dystopian novel?

This event was the result of a group of people, and their ideal, being shit on again and again and again for at least the last 4 years. One party gave cart blanche to their supporters and let them do whatever they wanted. Media bias, lies, false prosecution, lawless criminal riots, assaults, and murders. Special rules for special people. ANTIFA is a myth but the Proud Boys are a terrorist organization. Yeah, Ok.How long did they think that this would be allowed before people finally reached their fill?

This government is no longer "by the people, for the people". Politicians see only one thing when entering politics. How to enrich and further themselves, their families, and their friends. Maybe there's one or two, MAYBE......out of thousands. They're not thinking of those who elected them anymore. And don't give me any crap about how ANTIFA should get the same response. They've run amuck for months.....and still are with no end in sight. Their agenda is anarchy. Those who flooded the capital support a strong Unites States.

Didn't they occupy a government building other than a police station in Portland where they set up their autonomous Zone? Yet they were called peaceful protests.

Not sure, but if they did they should be punished accordingly. One distinction to make is if it was a state or federal building. Doesn't make it morally any better or worse, but from a legal perspective it changes who prosecutes, the penalties, etc.

Every one of these bullet points is being done currently, and some of them have been since the 80’s at least if not before. It’s just more visible now since the Left has been emboldened.

I think it was the direct result of low information dummies most of whom never received a decent education that told them to think critically, following false prophets in echo chambers. The prosecution of the criminals deserve the full weight of the law , but the hypocrisy of the leniency with the BLM crimes is astounding.
