Yes, when it's time to bring the violence, you should not ask "how much do I need" you should ask only "how much can I bring, and how fast".

The Supreme Court, with a HUGE Conservative majority ruled not to hear Trump's case or to provide him the relief he sought. Congress certified that Trump lost.

Trump lost fair and square, according to the rules of our Constitution.

It's not about "was the election stolen". Without a secure system that's just a matter of opinion.

The question is "could it have been stolen without us detecting it", and the answer to that is an obvious "yes".

The American people have a constitutional right to an election they can trust. Obviously large numbers of people do not trust the last one.

What is the government going to do about that ?

If their answer is to just say 1/3 of the country is stupid and ignore them, then they better get ready for a war, because it's coming eventually.

Personally I'd much prefer they added back the obvious security measures necessary to make the doubters a fringe minority.

The only reason I can imagine for their reluctance to secure the next election is because there *was* widespread fraud, and they're counting on doing it again.

If they're complaining that it's "racist" to want a secure election, then they just need to go, one way or the other they cannot be allowed to run the place.

If their complaint is that the Republican suggestions for securing it are somehow racist, then they should offer alternatives. But their alternatives need to convince the vast majority of the public that fraud at a level sufficient to alter the outcome is impossible.

It's going to be a long hard path to get to a place where people trust our institutions.

Step 1 is recognizing we have a problem.

But we have too many people who blame the people who don't trust, and can't bring themselves to acknowledge *why* people don't trust anymore.

The media and the government used to be widely trusted, but they squandered that by repeatedly lying to us, then gaslighting us that it was "for our own good".

I have a family member I pointed out Fauci's abrupt reversal of "masks don't work" to "everyone should wear a mask" to.

He said "he just said that because there weren't enough masks to go around and he wanted to conserve them for 1st responders". Not even acknowledging the fact that *one* of those statements was a bald faced lie, and masks vs respiratory viruses is a thoroughly studied field, so there was no "new science".

I'm not even going down the rabbit hole of 2020.

I'm talking about way back in 2014-2016 how trump was treated by the dept of justice, the FBI, the Steele dossier, the Clinton operatives, all the "legacy media" all the social media algorithms etc.

Agents of government of the united states knowingly conspired against a presidential candidate and pushed out right lies and later against a sitting president and no one was held accountable for any of it.
