Seneca County- pistol permit questions

Hello! I am a new member and reside in Seneca county. I moved here about 9 months ago. I’m planning to apply for my pistol permit and had a few questions:

Character references: I know they can’t be related to the applicant. Can they be related to each other? As in could I use a husband and wife as two of my references?

Does Seneca county require an in person or in home interview?

What kind of timeline am I looking at once all paperwork is turned in?

Not sure about last 2 questions but I used my now wife (girlfriend at the time) and her mother. Same last name so I assume you can.

In Onondaga we did not.

Some say one should not use a husband and wife... I used both and it sailed through. I did have a sheriff come to the house and talked to me in the driveway. I had a trespassing charge against me a few years ago and he wanted my version of what went on. .. I had a copy of the police report and offered to retrieve it .. He said he had it and wanted my version of what happened. It was about a 5 minute interview. At that time he wanted some more references to call in addition to what had been sent in . I was not ready for that but my cell phone came in handy for that moment .
