I see a loophole to the sensitive area law. Get an armed security license. Then have your wife hire you. It wouldn’t be the first time a bodyguard got romantically involved with a client . Just remember to report the income on your taxes-lol

I’m actually looking into this. A friends brother teaches the class and he’s looking into the cost and if he can make it happen for us in Buffalo. He normally teaches in Syracuse. Then my church and wife can both hire me. Also keep in mind just because there’s a contract for security doesn’t mean there’s a monetary value assigned to that contract. Hence the haha comment from you. Good point and thanks for bringing it up.
It looks a bit involved to have some fun with it to me. It’s an 8-hour course, 16-hour course, then a 47-hour course. The cost is $65, $135, and $575 respectively. Then there is live fire training and I’m not sure if that $575 includes ammo or not.

It should meet the permit training requirement as well. The 8 hour is keep the license. The 47 hour course is get the armed guard license.

To me this looks like a combination of bending over backwards to comply with this unconstitutional law while calling attention to your attempt to do an end run around it. I don’t see this as a great approach either practically or politically, but you do you.
Personally I would think if you’re hellbent on complying you shouldn’t carry, and if you’re determined to carry / avoid it then just carry, be smart, and have a good lawyer you can call if need be.
