Serialized SCT-17 with Glock 37 slide

Here is my latest purchase. Since NYC finally decided to allow frames, I made up a clone Glock 37.

I'm thinking of either getting the factory slide and barrel ported/window cut -or- getting a fancy Shadow Systems DR920 stripped slide off eBay.

I'm pretty sure the barrel outer diameter is the same as a G17. If not, I can always measure it up with calipers and bore out the barrel hole to accommodate.

I'll probably pick up an aftermarket trigger shoe and a custom slide cover.

It's always intrigued me, just like .357 Sig

.45 ACP ballistics in a Glock 17 frame was a fun concept to me. Being Asian, the Glock 20/21 frame is a little annoying trying to get a solid grip.

Some cosmetic goodies arrived for the build.

Gonna keep it pretty stock. Only thing I will do is send the slide out to North Carolina Engravers to have the barrel ported and a window cut put on the slide for the ports. I will probably stipple it myself.

Why do you say that? They just simply made the .45 ACP grip size more manageable for people with smaller hands by using a shorter case using the same projectile with near the same ballistics.

The other added benefits is also having a better capacity over 1911 frame pistols.

That's precisely what I meant. They made the grip feel less like holding a 45 because it's easier to get your fingers around it due to shorter bullets and thinner grip. That's all.

Well, here it is all dressed up. Mag has a Cross Armory weighted base plate.

Slide is being mailed out today for barrel porting with top window cut and RMR optic cut - used Slide Works Engineering in Texas, $186 for both. Also picked up a Cylee Wolf 2G RDS for $127.79

SwampFox is my budget go to optics, but I keep seeing good reviews about Cylee, so figured I'd try them out. Amazon has an easy return policy so nothing to lose but time.

Slide came back this morning from Slide Works Engineering, they did a good job. The optic cut is clean, the red dot fits nice and snug with no slop.

The porting and slide cut are also well done and clean.

Some more mods done to my Glock 37, I'm pretty much finished unless SCT decides to make a mag well for the SCT-17 frame. I'll eventually get around to picking up suppressor height sights to accommodate the RDS.

Purchased and installed a tungsten guide rod with 15 lb. spring and the Ghost Inc 3.5 trigger kit.

The kit comes with:

• 3.5 lb drop-in trigger connector
• 6.0 lb trigger spring
• 4.0 lb firing pin spring
• Reduced power firing pin safety spring

The trigger feels super nice now.
