I'm looking for a range for more practice at closer ranges. i would definitely make the trip for 1,000 yards, but i do much more shooting inside of 300 yards, and i would really like a plinking range that allowed me to fire more than 1 round every 3 seconds. a monthly 1 hour trip to the 1,000 yard range is justifiable, driving an hour each way once a week just for normal target practice is a bit much for me.

I drive four hours into PA to shoot my 50cals at 1,000 yards, but that's what I'll do to support a range that has the brains to know 50 bmg and other "real" long range calibers won't go through mountains and kill the first born of every person in it's path. Plus those calibers are the only real long range precision calibers that'll reach out there and actually hit a target with any accuracy.

I went here today. $40 total for a half day.
They are going to be expanding the number of 100 yard ranges. While they don't allow bump firing, they had no problem with me shooting my 54r VEPR as fast as I could as long as I stayed on target. There were no bullshit rules about one shot every three seconds.
I didn't specifically ask but I suspect at least part of the reason for the .50 cal not being allowed is they don't want their steel targets blown to bits. They also don't allow steel core or steel jacketed (TulAmmo) ammo for that same reason. I was able to shoot my steel jacketed TulAmmo at paper targets though. They provided me with a couple of silhouette targets to use for free and the co-owner even put one up for me on the 100 yard range. They also provided a cooler full of water and soda in the office that I could drink.
This is a nice place and the owners were very accommodating. While I can't afford to go often at this price, I would definitely go back.

i thinkj they are still offering a discount on full 2018 memberships as well. I might need to make a trip up there.

anyone ever shoot here? Saw it posted on Facebook and supposedly they have a 1400 yard range.....I did see people in the review section talk about shooting 1000 yards there. They offer classes. Maybe some of us should get together to do there long range class.

I didn't shoot there, but went there and met with them and I will be doing a 2 day carbine/pistol class there. Great guys! It is 1,000 yards currently and they are working on 1,200, not 1,400 as far as I know. They have multiple bays and a ton of property. Great facility and they are working on expanding and evolving!

Thats the place that stretz is holding a class at next august. Its basically my back yard, and i grew up with the rivenburgs, the oldest brother built a house down the road from my folks.

Their pricing is more than a bit high. I get that 1000+ ranges aren't all that common but $1000 is a lot for a single year considering I can get a lifetime membership for a 1000+ range down here for $3000.

Keep seeing stuff about PRS matches, but no listing of their matches or range on the PRS website. I guess they are just trying to market themselves without paying PRS the proper fees to host a match. I can't even find scores on the Practscore page. Oh well, another waste of time
