This may be something of a stupid question but how does everyone store their spent brass in-between reloads? Is there anything special that needs to be done other than just keeping it dry?

Keep it dry and out of the way. I keep mine in plastic bins from Walmart they cost a buck 97 and stack easily.

I use old coffee containers usually. Mark them with masking tape of caliber and clean or dirty. How many firings, if for a specific gun etc.

clear dollar store containers with lids and mark them with a sharpie with cal ..
Plastic containers. I use a few different sizes for different calibers and steps in the process. I keep track of what step each one is at using ripped pieces of index cards. I'm cheap. Lol

I like the clear plastic containers from Wally World,the handle flips up and lock the top on, they hold around a eight to nine hundred pieces of brass and cost just under $3. The best in my opinion, but my opinion isn't worth two shits of any bodies fecal waste.
They stack really nicely and you can stack them really high with out them wanting to tip. Unlike other containers I collected and tried. I'll get the measurements and stock # (upc code) and post it. They are about 7"wide 12" long and about 3 1/2"high, I'll get the true measurements.
Best money spent on storage containers in my opinion.
For dirty just collected brass I have been using the store brand one gallon plastic ice cream containers. But the Wally World containers actually work a lot better because they stack easier & more secure and are a lot shorter in height.

I imagine an old beat up "chock full o' nuts" coffee can sitting on a basement shelf somewhere 
I use the coffee creamer cans with screw on tops. They hold a metric shit ton, and they stack nicely. I use them for all of my cases, I just mark then with a sharpie as to caliber, and stage. I don't bother with the masking tape anymore. I always have casings in multiple stages from just shot, to tumbled and deprimed, to primed and ready to load. It gives me the option to go to whatever stage of loading I feel like at any given time.
This system works well for me, but as usual YMMV!

The storage containers I use are Sterilite, they are 11 1/2" x 7 3/8" x 3 1/4".2.7 quarts, 2.6 liters. The upc code is 73149 09925 and are made in the USA!
Under $30 at Wally World. Clear plastic so you can see what's inside and only 3&1/4 inches high you don't need much to stack a bunch of them.

You see, this is what I use now. Problem is the bags are overloaded and tearing. I know what you're going to say "Get more bags." Sure that's the simple solution and probably what I'll do but figured I ask on here to see what other options are out there.

It's amazing how many brass "paperweights" I have around.
I keep them next to the extremely tiny "cookie cutters."
Right near the forty caliber cigar "ring gauges."
They actually busted a young man in Worcester for wearing one of those "Punk Rock" belts that have Brass Cartridge Casings mounted to them.

I try and keep less brass on hand and more loaded ammunition so I guess that's why the coffee cans work well for me. I would have an anxiety attack with a 5 gallon bucket of brass that could be reloaded.
I use the plastic take home chinese food containers that they put soup in and what ever other type of container I can get my hands on.
