Yep. Good for her. What she's doing has more of an impact than calling or writing any senator who doesn't care.
At least she explained that her rifle wasn't an assault weapon and did it on a platform that the majority of zombies get their news from. If her actions convinced only one woman that only she can defend herself, it's a win.

Why not the Antis go back to Colombine with their arguments as if it had never happened before then. They don like to include government mass shootings in their stats as it messes up their message that the government will protect you.
Her reasoning, talking about the Kent State shootings, make her look ridiculous, at least in my opinion. Don't misunderstand me, I am more than fine with her carrying her gun around, I wish more people defied the anti's.
I think her position could have been explained a whole lot better if she had used more current events. And, you are correct, it is very, very rare that Government sanctioned shootings/killings are added to the numbers put forth by these anti groups.
