Shipping Long Gun To Mossberg For Repair

Question for the hive... I have to send my 930SPX to Mossberg in TX to be repaired. My understanding is that I do not have to send it from a FFL and do not need to have them send it back to the FFL. My understanding is that I can ship it out from the USPS (yes you can send long guns. I’ve done it before.) and have it sent right back to me. Of course I will make sure I’m home to receive it. Am I right on all of this?

Not just long guns, hand guns too. I had to send a pistol in for repairs once. Sent it direct and received it at my house. All via UPS.

My 500 is flawless too. My 930 SPX.... Not so much.

My 930 SPX had issues with the shot tube binding up. I called Mossberg and 930SPXs made prior to 2014 are eligible for upgrades. They had issues with the shot tubes, followers and bolt releases. Mine is a 2013. They will run your serial number and let you know if you need the upgrade. Shipping is on you though.

Gotcha. I'll check into mine. I'm sure it was manufactured before 2014. Never had problems though. Mine just won't cycle low velocity practice loads, but neither will my buddies M4.

Mossberg's pump-action's run just fine. They're not the most refined pump-action shotgun on the market, but they have a reputation for reliability.

Mossberg's semi-auto's sometimes have issues, but here's a news flash: so do most semi-auto shotguns. You can go drop $1,400 on a Benelli M2 and still run into issues. I don't consider Mossberg's semi-auto offerings any less reliable than those from other brands.

Just go watch videos of the pros. Only people that run mossbergs are huys like you. They just dont know and they resist. Then they try and run that shit in a match. It fucks up match after match and they end up buying a good gun. (In the end they loose miney.....cause the only reason they buy mossshit is to save coin......which they dont cause they buy twice)

Ofcourse ammo plays a part. Thatbsi why you run good ammo. Mossshit wont run anything reliably.

I have seen over 50 not work. I have personally seen this many or more.
