Oh for sure....for some people.
There have been shooting where the shooter actually tells police they were acting out GTA or another video game.
There was a young girl killed by 2 of her peers. They wore masks from the movie Scream and stabbed her 40 some times.
Also, people can become desensitized to gore and blood from watching movies.
I just watched a video of a kid who killed his entire family with an ax and hammer. In his police interrogation he said it was like "being in a movie".
There may not be studies, but there is proof.
Anyways, the people effected by games or movies have other issues and can be influenced by many other things.....bullying, mean parents, cartoons......etc.
But, 99.9% of people can watch horror movies and play games all day without going postal.

One thing I find extremely odd. The Manifesto reads like something a flawlessly edited Best Selling author would write. Not what it actually says - but it's perfect punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, etc. How can a 21 yr old psycho write like an English professor?

It should come as no surprise that the FakeNews Industrial Complex has already pounced on the latest mass shooting for political purposes. Already there has been a flurry of cries from pundits and presidential candidates alike insisting that this shooting was somehow caused by President Trump and his rhetoric, and that this is allegedly further proof that our President is stoking racial division.
But once again, the media is ignoring an inconvenient little thing called the Truth.
A so-called “manifesto,” which investigators say they are “reasonably confident” was written by the shooter, is already available online. While the normal course of action would be to completely shun this garbage to avoid giving him attention, his words must be analyzed for the explicit purpose of debunking this fake narrative that this shooting is somehow a Republican problem, or caused by President Trump, or otherwise to be blamed exclusively on the Right.

In the second pic of Connor Betts, expand the pic and check what is on the black patch - "Against All Gods". That's weird to say the least. Would like to enhance the red patch on the right.
The stench from these events is overwhelming - lots of evil...plus some manipulation, IMHO.

Dayton Shooting: Suspect ID’d, reportedly had prior hit-list
Chris Baker, who just resigned this summer after 14 years as Bellbrook High School principal, was asked about Betts’ time as a Bellbrook student.
Asked about reports that, while a Bellbrook student, Betts was suspended for causing a lockdown by writing a “hit-list” on a bathroom wall, Baker said, “I would not dispute that information, but I don’t want to get involved any more than just making that comment.”
When she first heard about the shooting, she said Betts’ name came to her mind.
“I guessed it might’ve been him just from that list,” she said.
She added that Betts was bullied at the high school and that he seemed “pretty normal” after he “got some help from making list.”
