Shot timers

Well I'm in the market for a shot timer.. I think I've narrowed it down to two. Just wondering if anyone has experience with both and if so suggest what one to get ..

1st is the Competition Electronics Pocket Pro II Timer CEI-4700

Or the other one I'm thinking is one of the CED 7000

This is the one I have Competition Electronics Pocket Pro II Timer CEI-4700, probably going on 5 years , Same one Glock uses for there GSSF matches , the biggest problem I have seen with them is folks rip off the piece that attaches to the 9 volt battery to the unit. Anybody who put a little thought would not do this type of damage , Simple to operate and you also have the ability to back track a few shots if you did not look fast enough and it picks up stray shots . It can adjust from INSTANT to delayed

BUT
the CED unit does have some cools add on items , A timer board, and a horn

What is your purpose for purchasing one.

So I think I'm going to avoid the CED. The internal battery is a bit of a turn off and after some looking it sounds like the external AA pack was discontinued.

I had looked at the PAC Club a bit but may relook at it and see how it compares to the Pocket Pro 2

We used the CED7000 for about 6 years and are switching over to the AMG-LAB commander timer this year.
I bought a 7000 timer a few years ago and it's a great timer, but the screen is very small and the internal battery never gets better with age, but it can be replaced.
The AMG timer is the best I've seen and used.
Big display, runs on batteries and has a lot of features you actually want in a timer.
I can't wait to use it this year, when do you hear that about a timer ?

My buddy told me about the AMG, only place I see it for sale is direct from them, and I thought it wast out yet

Trust me you would want the pact club 3. Those other timers have week ass clips and small buttons and screens. The club 3 is built like a tank with a clip that goes over any webbing or belt.

Only negative thing I have heard about those timers is adjusting the sensitivity is not as easy as other timers. People tell me that practicing at a range where shooters are in the adjacent port the timer will pick up their shots.
