Between Newburgh and Poughkeepsie, any day WITHOUT gunfire is newsworthy. I've only driven through Poughkeepsie once and it just looked old - nothing out of the ordinary, a bit of a tired NY small city. What is it with these two cities that they seem to be striking for "Wild West" notoriety? Things get too boring in the Rotten Apple and the hood rats and drug pushers migrated north?

So I read it, wondering just what EXACTLY $4M was going to do in combating the scourge of gun violence. They mentioned the "Boys & Girls Club" and really, absolutely nothing else except bullshit political buzzwords. In other words, no plan and the money will disappear into the Mayor's budget never to be seen again until the next pork project or election event.
