Ok so far 8 dead 11 injuries.
Just after 3pm rented truck was driven down the bike path in lower Manhattan, then crashed into a school bus. The drive was report to be screaming "Allahu Akbar" after exiting the truck with two hand gun. He was then shoot and taken into custody.
Mayor Deblasio and governor Cuomo are calling this a terrorist attack.

ISIS has called for attacks like this even from their own web site, it's in the text. That's not evidence? How many times has this happened in Europe? That isn't evidence enough? Usually a pattern is used as evidence.

And exactly why I will defend those who wish to express their hatred towards me, it doesn't bother me at all. I used to hate all sorts of people, gays etc. Not any more, doesn't bother me one bit, it's their life their business. Islam is a different story. They have no place on this Earth as far as I'm concerned. Their whole existence has been based on mass murder and subjugation and will never change.

Uzbeks were the original jihadists long before Arabs took up the movement. Uzbekistan was a part of the Soviet Union and the Russian Empire before that. Uzbeck insurgency started in 1916 when the czar started drafting them into military to fight in WWI. Prior to that they were exempt from service. After October revolution insurgency obtained the support from the British and escalated. Soviets fought a war with them well into the late 30's until it fizzled out.
When CIA resurrected jihadist movement in mid 70's in the neighboring Afghanistan, Soviets saw it as a threat to their stability. At the time Muslim population of the Soviet Union was expected to reach 50% in a decade. Uzbeks are also one of the major ethnic groups in Afghanistan. Soviets had legitimate National Security reasons to invade, our hillbilly president whipped up a shit storm over it. Now we are there doing what we didn't let Soviets accomplish.
