I believe the g22 mags work for the .40 and .357 while needing to use 17 mags for 9mm

It is. Mine is a .40. Great little pistol excellent quality and came with 3 mags a mag pouch, a chepo holster and quality night sights all in a 1911 platform package. Accurate as F out the box but somewhat pricey. I am extremly happy with it but with all the plastic sub compact out there now a days...for the same price you can buy 2 poly's and still have change left for ammo. But the EMP is worth the extra cash imo.
