The bolt is a bit tough to pull back, I assume that this will ease up as the barrel/bcg gets broken in. Did yours' uppers have this issue?Sweet!
I have 2 of their uppers and am happy with them.
Mine are both conventional rear charging - one in 7.62x39 and one in 6.5 Grendel. I don't notice anything unusual with the pull and both cycle as they should. The bolt is a bit tough to pull back, I assume that this will ease up as the barrel/bcg gets broken in. Did yours' uppers have this issue?
Personal preference IMO. I bought the lefty specifically for this build. I wanted a bench gun to practice longer ranges, and also use it as a coyote rig, although its a bit heavy. My logic told me that on the bench I could charge every shot without taking my right hand off the evil grip. I also didnt want this to be a semi automatic and wanted it to be different....nothing more.Really dumb question, what is the advantage of having a side charging upper?
I built one in 9mm. No real advantage.Really dumb question, what is the advantage of having a side charging upper?

?no gas system, its a straight pull bolt action
no safe act, manually operated
Gotchano safe act, manually operated
. Oh yeah, also loosens up during use but since it needs to be removable, lock tite doesn't make sense.
I used them to make straight pull bolt action ARs. Can have pistol grip and detachable magazine. And in SHTF times my fixed mag AR would Donate it’s upper To the cause.Really dumb question, what is the advantage of having a side charging upper?
