The 365 is REALLY small. Almost too small for me. Almost impossible to not touch the slide release lever causing the slide to never lock back on last round. I’d go with the xl. It has a better trigger too. I’ve been seeing some really good deals on them if you have credentials. (~$400)

Sounds like thats the way to go. The 365 is great for what it is but the xl is a little nicer to shoot. Ive never had issues with my thumb catching the slide release like chev mentioned but of course we all grip a little differently. The finish on all of my sigs has been ultra durable too.

I’ve fondled the 365 and I have smaller hands so it works for me. I agree I need a bit or a larger more shootable gun especially since my son will be getting into pistols soon. I’ll pick him up one when he’s of age and we can share whatever accessories we purchase together.
Where are you finding them for sub or around $400 with a badge? I don’t have a badge but my dad has one and I’m sure we can work something out.
I’ll grab one in the beginning of august.
Buds has had some listed lately in a few different variations. You need to have a “qualified professional” account to be able to see them and/or the prices. That would involve uploading creds ahead of time.

This is the route I went - 365XL (for the optic) then bought a regular frame module (and a couple of regular mags), but I didn't like how small it was. The XL grip size is "just right" for me - my pinky just barely hangs on. (I still have two regular 365 mags I'll be posting for sale soon)
Due to wanting to stick with "one size" I stayed with the XL. I haven't put a light on it yet as I'm not ready to spend more money on holsters (I have an AIWB and IWB one).
SIG P365XL w/ 507k vs S&W M&P Shield (1.0) -
The SIG has taken over as my EDC - I'm almost wanting to replace the 507k with a "green" reticle version but I have one of the first 507Ks (from before Trijicon made them change the buttons).
edit: Osage County Guns is where I got my 365XL and the extra mags, they are GTG. I'd like to get a 320 (M17/M18 version) but the one time I handled one it felt very top-heavy when unloaded. (steel slide and polymer frame, to be expected)

I can shoot my ruger lcpII fine and I’m assuming the grip on that is shorter and skinnier so I think the 365 grip would be fine for me. I don’t mind shooting with my pinky hanging off. Of the xl works I’ll stick with that because of the crazy mag prices. That’s the big drawback of the 365 or any sig for that matter. I normally like to get about 8 mags too.
