I know at least two of us are hams on here, now just to have time to actually live up to the label. I wonder how many are licensed here, hmm.

I let my license lapse. I really need to get it again.

But I also have way too many hobbies.

Good idea. Internet goes down ( by design or accident ), EMP, SHTF, NYGF servers hacked, Bud Light Truck parked in your driveway, etc.

Whether it has anything to do with this depends on what you mean by "doesn't display correctly". If you're not being properly directed to to the forum then clear your browser cache and that will fix it. Sometimes (particulalrly with a DNS issue) the request pointing to the wrong place can get cached and without a clear will continue pointing to the wrong place. In my opinion it's a good idea, for a few reasons, to set one's browser settings to automatically clear cache/history/cookies every time the browser is closed.

Good drill for what it's going to be like if/when they take the internet down and we loose all comms. Maybe we should see if any HAM's that are members want to setup a NYGF repeater station.

i'm a ham but i live in a valley .. not a good place for a repeater ...

i used to climb towers years ago .. not sure if i can do it now .. but it was fun back then

Clearing the cache for Chrome on my phone resolved it.

every now and then i can not highlight text in a post and make it a quote .. or even quote a whole post ..

clear the cache and cookies for the site and all better ..

Me too! I was thinking of all the stupid shit I said on NYGF while I was burying the weaponry. Now I gotta dig all that crap up again...

I checked arfcom, Reddit, a couple others to be sure. lol

You'll know it's really on when all those other gun sites go down and the only one up and running is the 'other" site.

I'm going to close this up. This has been resolved and it's kind of going all over the place now.
There is some additional explanation I'd say about having pulled the last couple of posts, but I've been without power for almost 13 hours now, and low on phone battery, so it'll have to wait.
