The upside to this travesty of 'justice', it'll likely embolden monkeyface for 2020. The best thing that can happen is the dumbs put monkeyface on the national ballot. Anyone running against him will get the results Trump achieved in '16.

Not sure this is entirely a NY thing. The much hallowed and revered SCOTUS were the ones who limited the definition of corruption.
Can't we all just stop pretending that SCOTUS will do anything that doesn't protect the justus system.
Getting cert for cases that we think are important won't resolve the issues.

Bharara got the conviction. I fail to see how the overturned verdict weighs on him?
From the NY Post article linked in the OP above:
"The panel cited last year’s US Supreme Court ruling that limited the legal definition of corruption.
In a 15-page decision, the court pointed to the corruption case of former Virginia governor Bob McDonnell, whose conviction was thrown out after the Supreme Court narrowed the definition of “official action.” The High Court found that the current definition of “official action” given to jurors was so broad that is could include “nearly anything a public official does.”"
The McDonnell ruling came AFTER the Skelos and Silver trials.
I realize that this stuff goes on everywhere, and the SCOTUS decision that saved their asses. My point was that what you and I consider corruption is just so damned endemic here in NY with our politicians, that nothing surprises me anymore.
