Who the hell said the SKS was illegal in NYS? As well all know the safe act was to keep military grade weapons of war out of the hands of law abiding NYS citizens. So naturally military grade weapons of war like the SKS, garand, Springfield 1903, Swiss K31 etc are not affected by the safe act.

If it has any of these it needs to have a fixed magazine if it’s semi auto. If it has none of these features your good
SKS is legal in all of NY except the shithole that is NYC. Here, it is considered that made up phrase... "Assault weapon".

I find it absolutely comical a bayonet lug makes your gun an assault weapon. This just shows how out of touch they are. People haven’t routinely used bayonets for killing in over 100 years. WWI was the last widespread use of them that I’m aware of.maybe the pig sticker on the end of some ..

WW2 had a crap ton of bayoneting from all sides. I'm sure there was quite a bit in Korea and Vietnam as well.
All the WW2 Russian mosins had their iron sights zero'd with the bayonet extended.

My SKS is definitely not FUKH approved but it lives freely in PA.
Salvaged a SKS that was in extremely poor condition.
Wanted to get out to the range this weekend but we got a few inches of snow and I'm unsure if the game lands range will be open tomorrow. The drive out here was pretty bad.
