Different Drummer
.44 mag
Rifle is a 1967 manufacture Factory 26
This is sort of two rifles in one. A Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde SKS
What is included:
Factory 26 Paratrooper length built in 1967 in a USA made Phoenix Tech. collapsible Kicklite stock, USA made Murry's trigger and hammer as well as a USA made gas piston. A jungle stock handguard is in place at present. All the USA made parts are new. Rifle is legal at both the State and Federal level. 922R compliance is met.
Also included is the original wooden stock which is in nice condition, original trigger and hammer as well as the original gas piston. There is a full length spike bayonet that has a broken tip. There is plenty of length to cut down to a paratrooper length for use with the original wood stock. Cleaning kit for insertion into the original wood stock is included. There is not a cleaning rod. The New phoenix Tech. USA made handguard and three accessory rails are also included. The handguard is not needed to meet 922r requirements because that requirement is already met with the Stock, trigger. Hammer and gas piston. If the phoenix Tech. Handguard is added it will actually be one over the requirement for USA made parts. Three accessory rails mount to the stock which is pre drilled for them. Hardware is included. Present hand guard is the "jungle stock" variety painted black.
All parts are included to run it in the “stock” original configuration or in the FUAC configuration.
Original trigger, hammer, gas piston as well as a new cheese grater style hand guard are included. Of course the phoenix Tech. hand guard is also included. Three hand guards in all.
Fire control group also has the Tom Prince ( Kivari) trigger enhancement work. It now has positive sear engagement and Tom measured the pull at 3.8 pounds . Trigger is very nice on this rifle.
There is also a 30 round magazine that resides out of State at a relatives. This can be included but must be shipped from it's present location to someone outside NYS.
The replacement magazine I found is in very nice condition and is not numbered. The magazine dust cover is also not numbered. I did this deliberately so there would not be a lot of mis matching numbers when I got rid of the 30 round removable Magazine. FCG, receiver and bolt have matching numbers. Headspace is fine and the rifle functions as designed. I have probably forgot something about this rifle. Just ask questions and I will answer.
I will also make available to the buyer 1,000 rounds of Brown Bear ammo if they want it.
Rifle and all parts- $625.00
Brown Bear ammo- 22.5 cents a round
Price reflects a pretty good loss on what was required to put the rifle together along with the trigger work by Kivari.
