Sent 40 Cal S&W back to factory for the fix on the slide finish and it has been 4 weeks since I sent it. It is a known problem on the pistol and Smith has advised owners to send theirs in for the fix. While I realize that things are very busy now, 4 weeks seems very unacceptable. There is no easy way to contact them for an estimate as to when it will be returned. If you call the general customer service number you are on hold for an hour or two and I just could not hold on any longer. There is no customer service email address tat accepts email. Does anyone have a better way to contact them to determine the status of my service? Is anyone else experiencing a delay like this.
