Smith & Wesson Issue Alert On M&P 380 Shield EZs With Thumb Safety

Smith & Wesson makes good guns. Its history is full of quality firearms that have served millions well. However, no one can get it right all the time, and it looks like the venerable firearms manufacturer has a problem with one of its models. In particular, the .380 M&P Shield EZ with a thumb safety.

The alert should be why the hell would you want this oversized .380. The only reason for a .380 is a super small pocket pistol. This is not that. They must be sending the alert to themselves since no intelligent person would buy this. .380 is as expensive as .45 and almost double 9mm. So it’s not even good for a range gun.

haven't held a m&p 380 ez yet .. but the M&P 2.0 45 .. WTH .. i need a 2 ton press to load the mag .. damn my hand is all cramped up
my bud has a 380 .. not a m&p i know that ,, and its the same loading the mag .. there all fun to shoot but loading up the mags is a PITA on the hand ..

Women seem to think they can handle anything today. Countless times I see them driving around in hulking SUV's and jacked up Trucks the size of dump trucks. A lot of butches out there!

My wife really likes her .380 pistols (Sig P238 and two Browning 1911s - one "full size" and one compact). The size of the pistols, especially the grips, work very well for her. Since I reload .380, it isn't any more expensive to shoot than 9mm. Which is good....since she'll go through 300 rounds when she gets a chance to go to the range to practice.

I've tried the Browning 1911s in .380. They are fun soft-shooting pistols that feel like toys next to my full-sized Sig 45ACP 1911.

Read that quote carefully. Now tell me, is that really their standard of reliability and performance - knowing they have a problem with a particular model gun and instead of fixing the gun so the problem no longer happens they, as I understand it, make it so it is only less likely to happen!
