Very valid point. I think firearms companies need to be privately owned in order to viable. S&W and Ruger I see having big trouble in the years ahead. This is right out of Alinsky's Rules for Radicals.

Smith & Wesson is owned by American Outdoor Brands Corp. along with 18 other brands. Smith & Wesson reinvented itself many times before it was fnally bought out by a british company , of all owners. Luckily is was reaquired by this American corp. a few years ago.
