I really liked my M&P9c (1.0), but when the Shield came out I didn't mind dropping from 10 rounds to 8 for a smaller package. I have a 2.0 fullsize and the new texturing is awesome; if I had known this newer Compact was coming I may have waited. Should have known...

For 'free' states it offers 15 round capacity in 9mm, compared to 7/8 in the Shield. If it has the same reliability as my fullsize it should be quite a seller.

EDIT: Also comes with a dingus to let you use full-size mags, clever.

There are versions both with and without a safety, in both 9mm and .40 cal.

I like the m&p series and i have a shield but i prefer as a edc a G26. I carry her with either the pierce grip pinky bottom plate or with a G19 mag pierce grip extension.
At the end...to each his own.

The standard 2.0 4.25 barrel is already G19 size practically except the grip is slightly longer. Been holding out for the 45c 2.0 but looks like a little longer wait.
