All very odd and I feel horrible for the victim who was just going about his business.

My guess: Lackawanna is a very corrupt city. The shooter was a dumb kid whose parents have "connections" and efforts are being made to sweep it all under the rug.

This is NOT in the "immigrant" part of town FWIW.

Shortly after 3 p.m. Friday, Juda sent The News a copy of a police report, listing the incident as an assault with a weapon with intent to cause injury. The report indicates that Bevilacqua was shot with “a pellet from a BB gun.”



But Bevilacqua sent The News medical reports from the Erie County Medical Center’s trauma unit, indicating that he had been shot with a .22 caliber weapon and that a bullet was lodged in his spine.

I can’t read article either since I don’t pay for the Buffalo News. I have not heard of this so something is fishy. Lackawanna is a very corrupt town and will soon be the next Detroit. While this may not have been the immigrant town I suspect it isn’t very long before someone like Ohmar is the next mayor. That’s besides the point and has nothing to do with this story I’m sure.
I’ve heard this guys name before. I think he was somehow involved in some scandals in LA. Not sure though. Maybe the city council guy who faked the address?? I used to work right there and LA cops are horrible and the city government is a mess. Interesting to see what comes out of this.

I used to live in LA as well and I can second whats being said. The corruption, scandals, and cover ups that happen would make you sick. Its a good ole boys club and no doubt the shooter is in it

Not saying it was or wasn't but, my .17/.22 pellet gun is actually louder than my .22 when I run subsonic in the rimfire rifle.

I highly doubt a target would hear either, though.
