This is an older thread, but a great question. Got me thinking. Rifle: my scoped 7600 chambered in 30-06, fast repeat shots, detachable mags in case any firefight lasted beyond 5 rounds. Both powerful enough and accurate enough for any big game in North America, and there is no more flexible big game cartridge. Handgun: my Ruger Single-Nine, .22 Win Mag, for both small game and up close and personal confrontations. Reasonably compact and easy to conceal. Stainless steel and built like a brick shithouse for everyday carry, rough duty and exposure to elements. Wouldn't require much maintenance to stay functional.

Probably one of my glocks, and my new M4. My original AR has a thin barrel, heats up too fast for combat. Might change that out one day.

It really depends on where we are when the $hi+ starts, not sure what I would pare down to .... probably a Sig 225a that conceals well and a Mossberg , but I am pretty sure my wife already claimed dibs on a certain 9mm CZ with some accessories

Glock 19 that I already carry everyday and have a bunch of loaded mags for. Would continue to conceal carry it to stay on the downlow. And 9mm should be plentiful.
Then the “hypothetical ar that I don’t own because gubment.” Bunch of loaded mags (10 rounders of course) at the ready. .223/5.56 should be found easy enough. Decent cartridge for smaller game and self defense with as much range as I’ll probably need. Can also break the upper from the lower and easily conceal in a bag.

Tough question. Would most likely take an AR and XDS 9mm 4.0 or a full size 9mm if I had one.
But the other part of me wants the Rossi 92 .357, GP100 .357 and the SW442 for good measure lol. Love the common caliber. The snub is so light it doesn't count! Imagine decked out in a plate carrier with the Rossi 92 and the gP 100 in a chest holster....
