Calls CPS on you because you own a firearm and unfortunately for this woman, they are are full featured AR’s because the cops are with them? The news article leaves out some key information but the point has been made . Just seems like an illegal search , from the cops anyways, unless she gave LE permission to enter with CPS. That’s just it, whoever called, called because there were guns in the house, they didn’t call because they were full featured AR’s in the house. If they are batshit dumb to call the police because someone owns firearms, then they’re definitely not intelligent enough to know the ever evolving NYS gun laws

Considering it is now illegal to have a rifle hanging on a wall if you have kids this is not surprising and would not be considered an illegal search legally. Sad but true.
I have this concern because I have an old wall hanger that doesn’t work hanging above the fireplace in my living room. I worry some one will see it and take issue with it.
