Ok what’s your opinion on reloading vs store bought ammo.
I have a decent stock of store bought 9mm and supplies to reload 9mm (it’s the only caliber I reload). Do I make & shoot my reloaded stuff and hoard the store bought or keep the supplies in case the shelves dry up?

I would keep shooting my reloads and keep the factory stuff untouched. Why(?), hell if I know, but that is what I would do.

I use my reloads first. I have them loaded specifically for their intended purpose. My target rounds are softer shooting and just as accurate as any store bought ammo.

I already bought a couple lowers but I'm wondering if I should take the plunge and acquire an SKS, Tavor with NY-Safe compliant grip, semi-auto 308, etc. Highly leaning towards a Tavor with this bad boy on it:

Hate to say it but I have a suspicion that any thing semi-auto is going to be more difficult to obtain after our new NYS legislature gets started next year. Act accordingly.

Just wondering, given there was 3 to 4% compliance on the "AW" ban (which I suspect was mostly LE and CO's, many of whom were known to have them by their supervisors, and didn't want to lose their jobs), what do you suspect the compliance will be with a Semi-Auto (SA) ban?

What about all the folks that bought M1 Garand's from CMP over the years? That's a federal program that was intended to promote marksmanship, and now on their whim they expect that people will line up to have their hard earned legal purchases put in jeopardy?

If they try to pull this crap, it is simply the "gun registration prior to confiscation" ploy that every socialist regime since the dawn of time has tried, and hopefully they will fail this time. (news flash - Nazi's are National SOCIALISTS for any oppo's monitoring - there is no distinction between Nazi's, Communists, Socialists, Democrats, Jacobins, etc. to any actual freedom loving 'Murican.)

If NY was any indicator, I see compliance at near zero. Plus, I don't think they would try it until they see how Washington fairs with their new law. Semi-autos are in very common usage, they are protected. I am sure though, they will do everything they can to make ownership of semi's more difficult, hence the re-designation of all semis as "assault weapons". Doing so, makes it easier for them to achieve their goal.

I’m stocking up on ammo. Bought 4000x9mm FMJ, 500x9mm Ranger-T’s, 1000x.40 FMJ and 500x.38 Ball. I have about 200 .223 and 100 .308.

Rookie numbers, I know.

Planning on buying another 2000-4000 9mm FMJ this Black Friday if the deals are good.
