Well a few things, I don’t know about the army but I know in the marine corps there’s a new order that came out right after the the naval base shooting that happened a while ago allowing MP to carry concealed ON base while off duty which would benefit him because MP are protected under LEOSA. In NY he could carry under his shield since MP are law enforcement and as a “Federal Law Enforcement Officer” he’ll be able to carry in the great NYC.

I’m not too familiar with LEOSA on the federal side and if that’s the case than damn. I’m pretty sure if issued you would get one on your first duty station or would have to go through chain of command to request it, but that should automatically be given.

If this guy was doing nothing but carrying a hand gun, I do feel for him. I also think the coppers may have been able to handle things differently. Granted, none of us know the entire truth or the whole story

I agree, once you have a "permit" in this state you may have a bit more latitude than some other states.
They are so kind to "allow" me to carry that scary iron so many places, well except NYC any state park or government building, or a thousand feet from a school, oh and actually some streets in Albany, and who the fuck knows where else.
Anyone else find it ironic that the law of the land says the government shall not infringe, but they are the ones that don't "allow" carry in "our" office buildings and state parks.
