Something is missing and doesn't feel right. (Not having a gun carried)

Anyone else carry a handgun so often that when you forget to get it, and when you realize it's not there you feel awkward, like you're naked in public or something? It's extremely rare that this happens, but it hit me hard today. All of my work pants and jeans and carry belts have been so worn in by carrying, nothing fits or feels right without it. It is way more comfortable with a handgun. It just feels so wrong. I can't be the only one....

I don’t carry at work so no, but if I go to the airport or Canada I feel naked because no knives. I have to say I hate Canada.

When I am at my cabin for the weekend,a lot of, ahem, social drinking going on there, so I always lock it up when I'm there. I spend the weekend "panic slapping" my hip all weekend. Been doing this for 40 yrs and still get that cold feeling when I notice its not there, its the only place I dont carry.

There has been a few times that I have left the house forgetting to take a gun. As soon as I realize this, I turn around and retrieve one. Feels weird for sure.

Naked is a good word to describe it... and immediately the brain goes into Alarm mode, everything is on a sharper point, pay attention to the circle a bit more, plan and assess every room, place, exit, etc., more... hmmmmmm! Yeah naked, but not afraid, never unprepared... there's weapons everywhere, for defense, if you're paying attention It would be better to have it, than NOT though, for sure But usually, I'm never without, regardless!

When I was in the academy they told us "better to always have it and never need it than to never have it and need it once". I have never "accidentaly" left the house without it or forgot it. Ever.

Drove down to get the mail the other day and forgot my wallet, so no license or anything.

Felt stupid when I got there.
