McHenry ordered Pelosi to leave her Capitol hideaway office by Wednesday​


As one of his first acts as the acting speaker, Rep. Patrick McHenry ordered former Speaker Nancy Pelosi to vacate her Capitol hideaway office by Wednesday, according to an email sent to her office viewed by POLITICO. “Please vacate the space tomorrow, the room will be re-keyed,” wrote a top aide on the Republican-controlled House Administration Committee. The room was being reassigned by the acting speaker “for speaker office use,” the email said. McHenry, a close McCarthy ally, was first on his list to become acting speaker after the Californian was booted in a Tuesday afternoon vote.

What that they say about putting a victory into the jaws of defeat?
I despise Democrats, their Duplicity, and their socialism, with that said, I'm not impressed with the Republicans and their refusal to enact the legislation they rallied on. ...lesser of two evils?

Everyone please remember that the Speaker of the House DOES NOT have to be an incumbent member of the House. It can literally be anyone. I could be Speaker tomorrow if confirmed. Boy oh boy would I have some fuckin fun with that. Installing Trump as Speaker would be the ULTIMATE burn. But not enough support, way too many RINOS in that chamber.

Even with such a short term as speaker, and the historical achievement (humiliation) of being the 1st one voted out by their own party, McCarthy has probably enriched himself beyond what most of us could imagine. Wouldn't be surprised if he retired at the end of this term and took a sweet position on the board of some Ukrainian company.
