If the Left dislikes him, good.I don't know a lot about Johnson yet, but the left wing media sure is acting like we're over the target

Probably. But the left would hate anyone that was finally elected. What really matters is whether McCarthy dislikes him. If he does, then it's good he won.If the Left dislikes him, good.
If the Left hates him, then he's the right man for the job at this time.
So now the 20 RINOS like this guy? one might want to wonder why....Johnson won election to the role with the support of all 220 Republicans in attendance, surpassing the 215-vote total that was required to win. All 209 Democrats in attendance voted for Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, the party's House leader.

I think the whole bunch are weasels in one way or anotherAccording to Matt Gaetz, McCarthy was knifing everyone put forward in an effort to get himself reinstalled.
Matt lays it all out to Bannon in the link below. Good interview.
McCarthy is a weasel.

Remarkable Details - Matt Gaetz Gives Details of Backroom Machiavelli Tactics Triggered by Kevin McCarthy During House GOP Conference - The Last Refuge
This is deep weeds inside baseball, but boy howdy does it tell a story. Representative Matt Gaetz (MAGA, FL) goes through the details of yesterday’s House republican conference assembly as they select a Speaker nominee. What Gaetz reveals in detail is how Kevin McCarthy has been working the...theconservativetreehouse.com
Can we bulldoze all of DC then ?lets just close up the damn House ..
they all can go the fk home without pay
till the end of biden's Reign
stick a big sign on the Door .. Condemned
Molinaro is a spineless populist weasel. Don't give him any credit. He is going to have a mental breakdown when he has to make a decision that doesn't please everyone. From the sound of it, as explained by Gaetz there was no adjournment. The turnaround was quick and therefore not enough time for back room deals and McCarthy screwing things up. They pretty much got caught flat footed. Mostly due to Mark Molinaro putting up a motion for a non-binding vote to see if they had enough support to nominate Johnson. Seems Molinaro deserves some credit (or an ass whuppin' if this goes sideways)
Odd how they can get something done when they're not busy selling each other out.
Time will tell.
I bet its going to involve wasting tax dollars. So now the 20 RINOS like this guy? one might want to wonder why....
Don't get your hopes up too fast. It's only been a few hours. After hearing 220 people who were bickering back and forth for three weeks all yell out "Johnson" today, I couldn't help but smile.
Not just because I have the mind of a 12-year-old boy, but because it meant we had a new Speaker of the House.
And not just any Speaker of the House. We have a Speaker of the House who...
Was the three-week circus worth it?
- Is adamant about shutting down our border ASAP
- Called impeaching Joe Biden "Our Constitutional duty"
- Will require the House to pass single-subject appropriations bills
- Is pro-life
- Is pro-Trump
- Will release ALL of the January 6th security footage
- Is a Constitutional scholar
- Thanked God in his speech and knelt down on the house floor to pray immediately after the vote
Absolutely!
I mean, 220 "Johnsons" isn't just a ton of "Johnsons," it's a unanimous decision by the Republicans. When was the last time that happened?
And, the best part of this entire process is that we uncovered a ton of "non-conservatives" posing as conservatives. Many of us learned hard truths about who our representatives are actually representing. (SPOILER ALERT: More often than not it ain't the people who put them there.)
They take our tax dollars and spend them on anything and everything that will make them richer and more powerful. They pretend to be solid men and women of character who are working to save us, but really they are working to save themselves.
It's eerily similar to my newest book "The Untold Story of Christmas."
Our speaker seems to be a similar hero. Not a God, but a pious man who will work for the people, and not his own self-interests.
At least, I hope so...
Bongino said something a week or so ago I thought was pretty good advice and I think it applies. I'll paraphrase -
Don't put your stock in individual personalities. Individuals will let you down. Instead, look to outcomes to guide you. If you do that you'll never be disappointed and the outcomes will inform you who the individuals truly are.
I think Congress is like any other workplace, full of cliques, back-stabbers, suckholes and power hungry tyrants. I think they are so wrapped up in themselves and each other that the outcomes lose priority.
It's way too early to call this a win. Nothing wrong with being optimistic, but remain guarded. Repubs always seem to get screwed when they think they are winning.
I am happier that KM is done and has been exposed. Now if we can just get rid of the Mick in the other house...
This would be good too...I just want a video clip of 220 voices saying “Johnson!” In unison… for shitposting to assorted people’s twatter feeds and such, par example.
Sometimes the inner 12 year old wins out![]()
