Sheriff Brown: It's my hope that every member of law enforcement, our military, and our elected officials, who all take an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the state they serve, would stand strong for our rights. Our rights were given to us by God, and our Constitution was written by “We the People” to restrict the government from encroaching on those rights. I believe that we have already seen, and quite frankly accepted, overreach in many areas, so I appreciate people and organizations like GOA who stand strong and refuse to compromise our rights away in the name of “safety.”

Well he said everything I’ve been saying and I’m anti cop according to him. So this Sheriff is as well. Perhaps Airborneguy can contact Google so that they can make it where he doesn’t see this Sheriff’s online content.

I especially like this quote from the good Sheriff.

Our job as law enforcement and my job as an elected official and agency head is to ensure that in everything we do, we are protecting the rights of our citizens. So often, we remain silent when we see something that we don't like or don't agree with, or in the case of RFLs, is flat out wrong and Unconstitutional. But if we remain silent, we are consenting.

Well, except for my rights coming from God, I like this guy.
Does that mean I have no rights seems I dont believe in God! My rights are an inherent part of being alive. Not some magical dieity in the sky.

I congratulate this elected Sheriff for his comments made in a public forum. I have heard many others before him say very similar things. I have heard other elected Police Officers say the same or similar, I have heard politicians say these things as well. I have heard members of the Military say they would defend all aspects of the Constitution against all that were willing to forsake our Rights.

Words are words and actions are actions. This Sheriff, I wonder if all of his officers are on board with all this talk as well. I am curious, what exactly will he do when he receives a warrant, signed from a judge, for him and his department/officers to go and secure firearms from a red flagged citizen.

I am hoping that he will defend all aspects of the Constitution like he says. I really do. This Country needs more in power to step up.

You are right, words are words. It is easy for him to say as Arkansas does not have a Red Flag Law!
