Lokking at a M1A standard. Anyone have one? Good rifle? Any problems? Any advice would be appreciated.
I've had a few over the years. Rock solid rifle. My 1st one was a super match. It shot MOA with ease with good ammo. It really liked Federal Gold Medal Match ammo. Loaded with a 20rnd mag it was a bit on the heavy side. The standard model (9102) won't be as accurate with Nato spec 7.62, but still good enough.Lokking at a M1A standard. Anyone have one? The M1A is a heavy rifle so shooting the standard loads shouldn’t be a problem for you. The but plate is steel though so no rubber coated cushion on your body to reduce the felt recoil. I load 168s for mine but the 150s or milsurp 147s do just fine. Thanks for the information. I currently have a Ruger Precision in .308. How is the recoil on the M1A?
Good reads. Here are a few more.Recommended companion manuals, Walt and Clint are good writers.

Springfield makes a SOCOM without a brake? Still in production?I have an M1A Socom and I love it. She's a heavy bitch and sucks to fire .308 without a brake.
I believe that's the "Tanker".Springfield makes a SOCOM without a brake? Still in production?
