I am looking at the Para series in Spyderco. Which would you buy? The Spyderco 2 or the Spyderco 3. I have a Spyderco Efficient.
Would you prefer a 3" or 3.5" blade? That's the only difference between the two.I am looking at the Para series in Spyderco. Which would you buy? The Spyderco 2 or the Spyderco 3.
Para 2 then. It's an excellent knife. One of the finest EDC blades there is. I think the satin blade with tan scales looks the nicest.
On what?Without using my search skills to see if you already did, would you be willing to elaborate?
On what?
It's quite thin and fairly light for its size and yet it's very strong and durable. The ergonomics are excellent, feels very good in the hand through a variety of grips, has great jimping and the 50/50 choil is very useful. The action is fast and smooth, Spyderco's compression lock is the best lock in all knifedom (BM's Axis Lock is great as well but the omega springs in em can break, the compression lock has no such drawback). The blade shape is simple and highly functional, has a sharp tip that is also pretty strong and it's a relatively broad blade with a full flat grind so despite being of fairly beefy stock it's still thin behind the edge and is thus a fantastic slicer. On why you think it's one of the finest edc blades. That's quite an endorsement.

And overall there is a great deal of attention to detail on the knife, things like the liners being inlaid flush with the G10 scales to keep it thin and the internal milling of those liners to reduce weight. Even something as small as the lanyard standoff barrel, the edges of which are chamfered.
As a whole the knife has many positive attributes which are all complimentary. Any blade enthusiast should have a PM2 in their collection.
No. It's a piece of shit.So you like it?
