The law is all about the PURCHASE of body armor, not about posession. Unless there was a sales receipt attached to it showing that he bought it in NY, the charge is bullshit. For many years there has been a law about WEARING body armor WHILE COMITTING A CRIME, but that doesn't apply either. The DA is over-reaching.
