I feel their pain as I too lost all my guns in a tragic boating accident.
Or strip it and destroy the reciever . A new lower and you have an ar.Turn in only the receiver. Like a stripped car in the South Bronx.
Or a 3D printer.... Just saying.Or strip it and destroy the reciever . A new lower and you have an ar.
The question should be:
WAS AMMO INCLUDED?
If you found it, would you strip off the upper, LPK, stock, and ammo, and then toss the lower and magazines in a nearby trash? I might be tempted.
Yep, and its just a "rifle" now. Not a viscious black baby killing assault weappn. The mysterious way this post is written tells me a Trooper or other PO left a rifle on the top of the squad car again . . .
Why would you toss the mags?If you found it, would you strip off the upper, LPK, stock, and ammo, and then toss the lower and magazines in a nearby trash? I might be tempted.
I believe NYSP just gets off the shelf RRA LAR15 "entry tactical"Although now that i think about it, pretty good chance this “rifle” was an M16, so toss the LPK in the trash too.
Only when you own one, it's an assault rifle. But when they own one, it's just a rifle.I believe NYSP just gets off the shelf RRA LAR15 "entry tactical"

The news release has been updated.Update:
A Rock River AR-15 rifle serial# CM203155 with optic# K3319796 in a black nylon carrying case was last seen on Tuesday, March 16, along State Route 9 in the vicinity of Riverside Drive in the town of Chestertown heading in the direction of a free state. The missing rifle was formerly owned by the New York State Police.
As if losing the rifle wasn't bad enough they're infringing on peoples rights in that area. At least one guy I work with had to go through a checkpoint near Chestertown. Another said his buddy has been stopped twice.
DWI checkpoint?
