Supreme.court never ruled on the safe act.
District court out of Buffalo ruled the 7 rounds unenforceable and arbitrary, striking that part of the law down. (Upheld every other part of the safe act)
The Plantiffs appealed their case up to the 2nd Circuit who Upheld the district courts ruling.
NY never appealed the magazine limit portion.

They aren't "choosing" to stop.. they have no legal right to enforce it, it's not a law and any agency that is saying they choose to stop enforcing it are just grand standing making themselves sound pro 2a when they arent
