C'mon man nobody above the law you know the thing
So, slap on the hand, give him his back pay, a job somewhere else in the barracks for awhile until it blows over, and tell him not to do that again?
A little different with the State Police, they really don't screw around with this kind of shit. If he gets any type of conviction off the charges, he will be fired. No doubt
But, will he move to some backwater in Minnesota and just get another job as a cop because he has "experience" ?A little different with the State Police, they really don't screw around with this kind of shit. If he gets any type of conviction off the charges, he will be fired. No doubt
Possibly. I will tell you this, there is a data base in NY State that shows all of the officers that have been stripped of their creds. My old department did this within 6 months of a person leaving the department for less than honorable reasons. But, will he move to some backwater in Minnesota and just get another job as a cop because he has "experience" ?

I'll see if I can find it./
Fuck the tie. Does he get to keep his guns and mags? The ones we're not allowed to have because police officers are better than us.Does he get to keep the purple tie?

Not hating on cops. Just the bullshit laws and the exemptions for cops.
Maybe a dose of the BLUE MAFIA (RED FLAG) they will have already searched his complete residence for any other weapons. This will depend on the level of charges against him. I have a feeling, a guy like this, his Duty gun is all that he owns,. With a suspension, that should have been taken away.
Absolutely. Bad apples everywhere. And more than most think, that are breaking the law(s).If the charges are true, awesome. No need for these kinds of cops
They do not put up with their own pulling any kind of shit, ALL complaints are addressed and answered including statements, video footage, etc, if someone in a supervisory position lays hands, then his supervisor has to get involved, it's really not a productive place to work....An Army Officer must have so many instances of punishing Troops (ostensibly) for misconduct or it will be reflected on his next OER that he's ineffective in his leadership position: The SP seem to also embrace this sentiment, if you're not having so many "interviews" (traffic stops) or taking disciplinary measures against your subordinates, then YOU must not be effectively doing your job.A little different with the State Police, they really don't screw around with this kind of shit.
