And THIS is the biggest problem with our courts. I really wish the founders realized this would become an issue. I wish they would have included the right to a speedy trial in ALL court proceedings.
These state and local courts can drag a case out for literally a decade.
All this GVR back to lower courts is ridiculous. If the lower courts clearly violate decisions by an upper court, the case should have 30 days to be resolved completely.
If the SCOTUS remands a case back down, there has to be a timely resolution. Or, the SCOTUS should rule immediately.
These interlockatory cases need to have a time limit.

So are You saying GOA dropped the ball in submitting the case? ( incomplete). I would expect “incomplete” for a grade schooler turning in homework, not a “supposed” high power organization. I'm saying the S.C. doesn't like to take cases that haven't had a final ruling at the lower courts. The Antonyuk case is still only at the "preliminary injunction" stage, not the final ruling. Thus the S.C. punted.
Our rights will remain infringed while the case is awaiting the final judgement of the initial district court judge, and will wait while the case is being appealed through the 2nd Circus, and probably wait while the case is GVR'd back down to the 2nd Circus for yet another poor ruling.

So... about 20 years.

SCOTUS and all the other Courts KNOW that adherence to the actual text of the Second Amendment would destroy over a hundred years of Gun Control Laws, upending the control They are desperately trying to hold onto...There is fear that the sudden dissolution of our Chains would destroy the Country and certainly the restraints Governments hold over us.
Think about this for a minute: Tomorrow, all Gun Laws are rendered moot; No more Dealers Licenses, BGC's, restrictions on what you can own or buy, no more permission slips from a bureaucrat before being allowed to purchase anything....sounds like utopia to some, anarchy to others.
