Yeah old news, but it gets even more funny, when Colbert ran for (or tried to run) in the South Carolina primary in 2008 as a "native son" against Clinton and Obama in 2008, it was the Clinton campaign that buried him and his plan by force.

It shows how much of a pickle-smoocher Colbert is.
